There are many different volunteering opportunities at Vault, so whatever your skills and experience, there will be something for you. There are some specific roles to help you get started below, but we are always on the lookout for other hobbies, skills and interests that can help us widen our offer and develop our Youth Zone.
You could:
- Support the delivery of sports, arts, music, drama, fitness, media, or STEM workshops
- Support young people including those with additional needs or deliver wellbeing-focused sessions
- Provide hospitality support, welcome members, and assist with administrative tasks
Why volunteer?
Volunteering enriches not only yourself, but the lives of local young people and our wider community.
GIVE YOUR CV A BOOST
Time Bank recently did a survey of some of the UK’s leading businesses and 73%* said they’d employ someone who’s volunteered over someone who hasn’t.
MEET NEW PEOPLE
Volunteering is a great way to meet new and like-minded people who also have a passion for improving opportunities for young people.
GET BACK INTO WORK
It’s a great way to get a reference and fill gaps in your work experience. You can also try out different types of work to get a taster – which can really help you if you’re looking for a job or want to change direction.
IMPROVE YOUR CONFIDENCE
You’ll learn and do things that you might not normally get the chance to – this can be a real confidence boost.
Volunteers support young people. Be one of them and change lives.
Who can volunteer?
Volunteering at Vault is open to anyone over the age of 18.
No skills or qualifications are required (although they may come in useful), just a passion for giving young people the opportunities they deserve.
Our volunteers are integral to our success and are truely part of the team.
Volunteers are at the heart of what we offer to young people – that’s why we want to build a strong team of volunteers at Vault Youth Zone.
