Tom Parker Ltd has been announced as the latest Founder Patron of Vault Youth Zone, underlining growing confidence from the business community in the long-term social and economic impact of the landmark youth facility in Preston.

As a Founder Patron, Tom Parker Ltd joins a group of leading organisations making a sustained, multi-year commitment to Vault Youth Zone. Founder Patron support plays a critical role in the charity’s financial sustainability, ensuring the Youth Zone can remain open during evenings, weekends and school holidays — the times young people need it most.

Vault Youth Zone supports young people aged 8–19 (and up to 25 for those with additional needs), providing access to sport, creative activities, mentoring, wellbeing support and employability programmes under one roof. At full capacity, the Youth Zone will engage thousands of young people each year, contributing to improved educational outcomes, workforce readiness and long-term social mobility across Preston and the wider Lancashire area.

Founded in 1972, Tom Parker Ltd is the UK’s largest independent distributor of pneumatic, hydraulic, industrial and process components. The business has grown into a leading national specialist in fluid power solutions.

Tom Parker Ltd is committed to contributing to this vital community project, helping ensure Preston’s next generation has the support they need to succeed.

Richard Parker, Sales Director, said: “We are proud to support Vault Youth Zone as Founder Patrons. Investing in the youth of tomorrow is close to our hearts. As a local employer, we recognise our responsibility to help build a brighter future for Preston’s young people, creating opportunities, developing skills and inspiring the next generation.”

Guy Topping, Chair of Vault Youth Zone, said:

“Founder Patrons like Tom Parker Ltd play a vital role in making Vault Youth Zone possible. Their leadership and commitment send a clear message that businesses in Preston understand the importance of investing in young people as future employees, entrepreneurs and leaders.

Patron investments are fundamental to enabling Preston’s young people to grow, create, connect and thrive.”

Vault Youth Zone operates on a financially sustainable model that combines membership income, philanthropy and corporate support. Founder Patrons provide a cornerstone of this model, enabling the charity to plan confidently, invest in high-quality provision and deliver measurable outcomes for young people and the local economy.

The addition of Tom Parker Ltd as a Founder Patron further strengthens the growing network of businesses supporting Vault Youth Zone and highlights Preston’s ambition to be a place where young people and enterprise can thrive together.
